Baby Closet Organizer

When preparing the room for your newborn baby one of the things that will manage and help organize baby’s things is a baby closet organizer. It is so much fun preparing for baby’s homecoming and choosing the right furniture is no exception.

It is important to choose the right closet for your baby from day one. As your baby will outgrow their clothes quite quickly, it is essential to choose a closet that can cope with this ever changing demand for new clothing. If your closet is not built for these changes then you may find the usefulness of your closet made be in question within a few months.

Partition the complete baby closet by clothing size. Then take each clothing size and divide it further by outfits – some for the summer and some for the winter. Group the long sleeve, warmer clothes together and short sleeve outfits and dresses etc together.

It is worthwhile using actual dividers for the different sizes in the organizer. Use old ones or buy new ones. If you decide to buy new ones then get the labeled dividers as these can be used to hang on the closet railing.

Take advantage of maximising and utilizing the remaining space buy buying empty bins or baskets below the closet. The basket is for when your baby outgrows their clothing or when it is no longer appropriate to wear the type of clothing and it can be stored safely away in the basket. After a few months take the clothes out of the basket and store them for future use. Maybe you might have another baby – or you could donate them.

When buying a new outfit for your baby or after you have washed their clothing, hang them in the appropriate place in the closet so they can be easily located. For those items that don’t look so great you can always store them away in the chest drawers or on the shelves within the closet drawer. In addition, you can put these items into shallow boxes and store below the bed.

For items that are not used that often, why not store them cleverly behind the baby closet organizer. This is just while you put the items that are more frequently used beside the closet in order to make them more accessible. If you baby has out grown their closet and it is too small then consider changing it for something more future proof. You will need a closet that will last for many years as it can have a variety of uses, as time goes by.
